A legendary wedding reception... an event to which all others of its kind are held up to and pale in comparison... an event that makes your family and friends say, "If I'd known the reception was going to be this much fun I would have bought them a more expensive wedding present..." No offense to the caterer or florist but it's not the chicken or the centerpieces that make a legendary wedding. When the band, the guests, and the newly-wedded are all in the same "fun zone", we're talking a memorable, monumental, extraordinary, perfect strangers come up to you in the supermarket to say they heard about it, legendary reception! Here's how the Fabulous Pelicans can make it happen: |
|

|
#1. Play something for everyone.
Everyone needs to feel as though they're being included in
the fun. This can include swing tunes from the 30's to
the most current dance hits.
|
|
#2. "Let's have some fun!"
Wedding receptions can be a little stiff early on. A fun,
high-energy band can get the ties loosened and the high heels
kicked off early.
|
|
#3. Read the crowd.
You don't want a band whose set list for your reception is the
same one they used at a club the previous night. Your band's set
list must be targeted specifically for your guests and
even change "on the fly" as the party evolves.
|
|
#4. Interaction and participation.
This is your party for your family and
your friends. If the best man is a
drummer or the bridal party wants to get up on stage and sing a
song for the bride... come on up! The more participation, the
more fun everybody has.
|
|
#5. You really care.
There's a reason why so many major corporations hire the
Fabulous Pelicans to play for their top sales people and
customers. It has to do with a direct relationship between
appreciation and perceived value. A great band says a lot about how
you feel about your guests.

Every person/service you hire should fully understand that your wedding day is the most important day of your life. Professional, flexible, and supportive. |
